youneedme* | creative studio

I’m Elwin van der Hoek and youneedme* is my creative playground! Allready designing for almost a decade I decided it was time to do the things I love most: creation in any way or form for everyone. I try to create solutions for everyday problems or spice up a vision of a product to make it stand out! It should always make you say:
“Hey I never looked at it that way”!

My specialties are as diverse as my creations as I see any subject as a challenge to work on. I love to work on furniture, interior accessories but also wearable design like jewellery is a real treat! I can lead brainstorms for your brand and solve any creative problem!

My studio is based in my co-owned shop in Rotterdam called “& designshop” which I run with my creative partner in crime Nynke Poort. Actually no design sees the day of light without her vision or influence on it. Working as a stylist next to me in the shop in her studio Star Cygnus she’s is a true muse everyday!

Before youneedme* I worked for a well known design agency as senior designer and project manager in their studio in the Netherlands, but also on abroad locations for their international clients on products, furniture and packaging.
